Fine Artist & Illustrator
from Bonn, Germany
Hi, Iโm Marilyn, the artist behind Meo Richterโ a fine artist, illustrator, and creative soul based in Bonn, Germany. Meo is the nickname, my father always gave me. It is really personal to me, and is deeply connected to my childhood dream of becoming an artist.
I create vibrant oil paintings and illustrations inspired by the beauty of everyday life, travels, and quiet, poetic moments. With every brushstroke, I hope to invite you into peaceful places, dreamlike corners, and stories you can get lost in.
With every stroke of my brush, I aim to leave the viewer dreaming about living in one of my landscapes. I hope that my paintings are an invitation to escapism.
Growing up between Europe and Africa, Iโve always been drawn to color, texture, and atmosphere. My early love for drawing slowly evolved into painting as I reconnected with my artistic self during university. I am a self-taugh artist who finally gave herself the permission to live her dream.

โNow, my work is deeply rooted in a sense of place and nostalgia โ an invitation to slow down and see the world with wonder.โ
Art, to me, is a way of building bridges โ across cultures, across feelings, and between artist and viewer.
I find joy in creating pieces that speak without words, capturing something quiet yet deeply felt.
I hope my work brings warmth and beauty into peopleโs homes โ small visual reminders to slow down, notice, and cherish the simple, poetic moments of everyday life.
I want my art to inspire others to embrace their own creativity, to collect pieces that feel personal and meaningful, and maybe even to pick up a brush or creative hobby themselves.
Art can be both comfort and catalyst โ something that gently transforms the spaces we live in, and the way we move through the world.
When Iโm not painting, Iโm soaking up inspiration through motherhood, nature, and everyday rituals. My creative journey is ongoing โ thank you for being part of it.
